Many of our sailing adventures also include the opportunity to enjoy some guiding hill walking, but we also offer a range of hillwalking only adventures throughout the year. With our ethos of ‘taking you off the beaten track in search of adventure’ we specialise in offering walking adventures in some of the less well known but spectacular regions of the UK and particularly Scotland.
Richard is a highly experienced and fully insured Mountain Leader with extensive experience leading groups both in the UK and abroad. We are able to organise everything from multiday adventures in remote and stunning areas like Assynt, Torridon and Knoydart (North West Highlands), to weekend adventures in north Wales and the Lake District.
We are able to offer a range of accommodation options, from camping and bothies to boutique hotels. We are even able to hire equipment and arrange travel and food. Like our sailing trips, you can just turn up and know the ingredients have all been put together for you to have a great adventure in the wilds.
Prices start from as little as £75pp per day. We normally don’t advertise set dates or trips and prefer to find out more about you and what you are looking for so we can put the right people together to make the best trip for you. Therefore, please get in touch if interested in one of our walking adventures.
This wild corner off Scotland offers stunning knock and lochan scenery and several relatively easy to climb mountains with good paths. However, the area also offers a real remote wilderness experience which it’s hard to believe exists on mainland Britain.
FROM £399 per person
This trip is ideal for those looking to experience a true mountain environment. With its sheer drops and complex navigation this trip is ideal for fit individuals who want to explore one of the more challenging UK mountain areas, but with the company of others and a highly experienced leader.
FROM £499 per person
When the tiny road eventually stops at Kinloch Hourn this adventure continues on foot into the wilderness. Using camping and bothies this 4 day adventure traverses the peninsula with a stopover at the tiny cut off settlement of Inverie (home to the UK’s remotest mainland pub). There are options to traverse the area using either the straightforward drovers routes or via the Munros.
FROM £449 per person
Join us for a day or weekend exploring some of the less well known but attractive corners of the Lake District. With a wide variety of options to choose from a memorable day can be had whatever the weather conditions.
These days are ideal for those looking to explore this popular area with the company of others and for those who are keen to build their confidence and hillwalking skills in the company of an experienced leader.
FROM £75 per person
Based out of either north Wales or the Lake District, these days are ideal for those who enjoy hillwalking but who are yet to learn the skills required for safely navigating in mountain environments.
Learn how to read contour features, orientate maps, use a compass, identify map features and learn how to do pacing. Safely navigating in the mountains requires a lot more than a mobile phone with OS maps on, especially in more complex areas in bad weather.
These days also provide guidance on how to pack, what to wear and what to do should something go wrong.
£99 per person
If you have questions about the adventures available, feel free to send us a message. We will get back to you as soon as possible.
