About Sea to Peak Expeditions
Our Mission
Sea to Peak Expeditions offers adventure sailing trips and mountaineering expeditions predominantly to less travelled and more 'off the beaten track' harbours and locations around the UK and Northern Europe.
Many of our UK sailing adventures are focused around the Scottish West Coast where the use of a yacht gives access to hill walking in some of the more remote and inaccessible areas that are otherwise very difficult to visit from the land.
Are we for you?
Our UK sailing adventures are open to small groups and individuals. A basic level of fitness and reasonable mobility is a requirement for safety reasons; however, prior experience is not required. Clients are encouraged to take a role in crewing the boat, helping out with the actual sailing, domestic duties, as well as taking an interest in passage planning etc..
Professional help and tuition will always be on hand from Richard, a highly experienced RYA instructor/ commercial Yachtmaster and Mountain Leader, who is skipper and owner of Sea to Peak Expeditions.
Our values and ethos
Sea to Peak Expeditions operates in some of the most beautiful and wild corners of the British Isles and beyond. It has a strong ethos of aiming to minimise its carbon and environmental footprint. All the UK sailing adventures avoid long distance flights and start/ finish points are all well served by public transport. As well as primary propulsion being wind, the yacht has a large solar array for domestic electricity needs. These are among many other measures that are in place, or are being evolved, to reduce our footprint.
