Sailing Adventures

These legs explore many stunning coastlines, normally abundant with wildlife, and visit small harbours and anchorages in parts of the UK often less frequented. However, changeover ports are all well served by public transport.

These around Britain sailing legs generally involve an average of around 8 hours of sailing per day in open sea and often include the occasional offshore night passage. Therefore, although prior experience is not required, some of these legs are best suited to the more adventurous or those who have sailed on yachts beforehand.

The West Coast of Scotland offers some of the finest sailing in the world and being on a boat is one of the best ways to see the stunning scenery. We offer a range of adventure sailing trips here throughout the summer months, from transits of the Caledonian and Crinan canals through to wilder adventures to the Western Isles. There are Scotland sailing trips suitable for all levels of experience.

Most of these trips frequent remote and stunning locations where wildlife is in abundance. And with your skipper Richard also being a Mountain Leader many also offer led hillwalking opportunities in locations often otherwise hard to access.

With its beautiful rivers and abundant wildlife the East Coast and Suffolk sailing area feels a long way away from the hustle and bustle of nearby life on land. 

Throughout the spring and autumn we offer day sails and morning/ evening sailing trips from our home port (Felixstowe Ferry, Suffolk).  These sailing adventures are suitable for all levels of experience and are an ideal introduction to yacht sailing.

We also have a number of weekend adventures, including 24hr night sailing/ navigation training trips, plus we offer a trip to Amsterdam and a trip to London in the autumn.
